Our Respite/Short term Accommodation services from Active Help give you the chance to take a break and recharge, while ensuring you receive the support you need in a comfortable, welcoming environment. Whether it’s a change of scenery, new activities, or simply a little time away, this service offers flexible options tailored to your needs.

Different types of Respite/Short Term Accommodation
- In-home Respite
Care is provided at the participants home with one of our support workers, allowing the the primary carer to take time off.
- Community/Day Respite
Taking part in a social or recreational activity outside the participants home during the day, allowing the primary carer to take time off. Activities can include day programs, group/social outings or community events.
- Out-of-Home Respite
For a short period of time the participant will stay at a facility or respite centre, offering a change of environment and new experiences while receiving care and support in a safe and engaging environment.
- Overnight Respite
Care is provided for a short stay, typically overnight or weekends. Can be in a respite facility or in their own homes, giving your primary carers a break while the participant receives full-time support.
- Emergency Respite
In some cases, short-term care is provided in response to an unexpected situation, such as a carer’s emergency or an urgent need for support. As a result, participants continue to receive necessary care, ensuring their well-being in critical moments.
